Don't believe what you read in papers: SRK

23rd June 2014

Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently cleared air over the impending biopic on the star Indian hockey player Dhyan Chand.

After SRK delivered the superhit film, 'Chak De India' in 2007, rumours about SRK doing another sports based film started doing the rounds.

Then in 2012, it was reported that he will do a biopic on one of the best Indian hockey players, 'Dhyan Chand'.

It was said that the film was being made and SRK was playing the title role. But nothing was announced officially.

Then came the reports which suggested that due to SRK's keen interest towards the sport and film's subject, he also was all set to co-produce the film along with playing the lead role.

When biopics took Bollywood by storm with films like 'Paan Singh Tomar' and 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', rumours grew strong that SRK will soon begin shooting for 'Dhyan Chand'.

However, after years of speculations, SRK finally took the matter in his own hands to clear the air.

Shah Rukh recently stated that he is not involved in any such project nor has he been approached for the same ever.

"Don't believe what you read in papers. U have also read that I am doing a film on Dhyan Chand. I have never been offered a film on him. I too have been reading all this in newspaper. I don't even know who is making these stories," said SRK.
