A few days back filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali faced defacement by the Karni Sena of Rajasthan while shooting for his next magnum opus 'Padmavati.' The Karni Sena members destroyed equipments and shooting material present on the location and even showcased their violent behaviour towards the filmmaker by beating him and his assistants. The whole of Bollywood came out in support of the filmmaker and expressed their views and anger through various social media platforms.

The team of Bhansali also issued a statement regarding the issue and stated that the film does not include any objectionable scenes between Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji. An official letter has been drafted by the Bhansali Productions to the all the social organisations.
