(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Dr. Conrad Murray has been found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson.

The jury took two days of deliberation to come to their verdict which was read out in the Los Angeles Airport Courthouse today.

After 22 days of testimony and hearing from nearly 50 witnesses, the 12 members of the jury came to their decision.

The courtroom on the 9th floor of the legal building was packed with Jackson's family, lawyers from both sides, reporters and a few fans that won a lottery to be in the room.

Everyone had been told not to show outward displays of emotion but an unknown woman screamed, "Yes" when the guilty verdict was read and the crowds outside erupted in jubilation.

The foreperson who was juror number three, gave the judge the verdict who then passed it to the court's clerk who read the result.

Dr. Murray has spent yesterday at church with his family as he awaited his fate but showed no emotion as the verdict was read.

On his way into the courtroom, Jackson's father Joe said the word, "Justice," when asked what he was hoping for as he helped his wife Katherine into the building.

Meanwhile, La Toya Jackson tweeted that she was "shaking uncontrollably" as she made her way to the court.

A huge crowd of Jackson's fans had gathered outside the courthouse with many chanting, "Justice for Michael."

Paris Hilton's parents Kathy and Rick Hilton, who are long time friends of the Jackson family, also turned up to hear the news.

The jury was made up of seven men and five women with a diverse cross-section of ethnicities from different areas in Los Angeles.

Jackson died in June 2009 from acute Propofol intoxication after receiving a lethal dose of the powerful anesthetic to help him sleep because he had suffered from acute insomnia.

He is survived by his three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket. (C) Cover Media
