(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Duffy has revealed she is a hopeless romantic.

The blonde singer, who has just released her second album Endlessly, is renowned for her retro look and often sports vintage clothes and hairstyles. Duffy admits she loves fashion from the 50s and often dreams about living in that decade. She explains her wistful personality has helped her succeed at singing and also acting because she finds it easy to be transported into another place.

I like escapism and I am really romantic. I am a hopeless romantic and an idealist, still desperately clinging to the skirts of the 50s, Duffy explained. So I like to escape through other mediums, I live so much in my own head as a singer that I like to exist elsewhere.

The 26-year-old star real name Aime Ann Duffy - says landing a role in movie Patagonia allowed her to further indulge her escapist streak. Although she sometimes wishes she could be in another time or place, Duffy accepts she is now a famous singer and must behave appropriately in public.

It was a great form of role play for me to go and do something else, Duffy explained.
