(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ed Westwick says the majority of women he meets are like crazy lionesses.

The 23-year-old actor is rumoured to have dated both his Gossip Girl co-stars Jessica Szohr and Leighton Meester, although he is currently single. Despite his lothario image, the star insists he isnt totally comfortable around the opposite sex.

"Girls still make me nervous. Some of the ones I meet are lionesses. They're crazy, he told asos magazine.

Ed best known for his role as devilish Chuck Bass in the hit US television series has previously claimed he gets so much female attention he has to resort to using sticks to get rid of girls.

Howwever, the handsome actor is more gushing about his on-screen love interests, Leighton and Clemence Poesy.

"Leighton is an incredible talent so she makes my job easy, and Clemence is the most remarkable person I've worked with, he said.

"[Gossip Girl is] great. He [Chuck Bass] is a solid character with depth. At first I loved delivering one-liners, and kissing the extras was fun." (C) Cover Media
