December 28, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The holiday season has turned a double celebration time for actor Eddie Cibrian and country singer LeAnn Rimes, who have announced their engagement through Billboard on December 27.

Both of them were previously married to separate persons and were in an extra-marital affair in 2009. Cibrian, who is well known for his character Jesse Cardoza on CSI: Miami, has two kids from his earlier marriage to makeup artist Brandi Glanville, whom he married in 2001.

When Brandi came to know about her hubbys affair with Rimes, they separated in July 2009. Cibrian filed for divorce from her just after going public about his relationship with the country singer. On September 30, 2010, their divorce was finalized.

On the other hand, Rimes got her divorce finalized on June 19, 2010 from her hubby backup dancer Dean Sheremet. She and Sheremet got married in 2002 after dating for a year. The couple separated in July 2009 and Rimes announced to divorce him in September 2009.

The romance between Cibrian and Rimes started when they were filming Northern Lights. The highly publicized affair has now got recognition following this engagement. Even though Rimes expressed repentance for hurting people due to her affair with Cibrian, she was happy with the final outcome of the affair. The duo has now thanked their fans for their support and said they are very happy.
