After a long list of stars being detained at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, including Minissha Lamba, Bipasha Basu, Anushka Sharma, it was the television soap queen Ekta Kapoor's turn to be questioned by the customs officials. Reportedly the czarina was carrying extra baggage with her, while returning from her trip to Bangkok.

She was detained by the customs officials and had to pay a fine of Rs.50,000 as customs duty. Apparently Ekta had shopped too much and was trying to pass through the green channel without declaring the goods she purchased on foreign soil.

50 branded apparel and 8 luxury handbags were found in her suitcases. The lady was supposedly carrying undeclared goods worth $2,000.
