(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Emma Roberts couldn't "imagine" having to go to school every day.

The 20-year-old actress is currently starring in upcoming film The Art of Getting By. Emma plays Sally in the movie, a popular and complicated student who is the object of high school senior George's affections.

Emma, who is best known for her roles in Scream 4 and Valentine's Day, has recalled her school experience, revealing it was very different from the involved role she plays in the romantic movie.

"I was homeschooled, so I kind of crashed all my friends' school functions like proms and football games and stuff, and that was enough for me," she joked in an interview. "I can't imagine having to go every day."

Emma is glad she didn't have to face the regular trials and tribulations of being a full-time student. The gorgeous star has joked that her absence from school relieved her from "torture" from her peers.

"I'm sure I missed lots and lots of torture from people, that I missed out on thankfully!" she laughed. (C) Cover Media
