Emma Stone doesn't think she can get away with playing teenagers anymore as she's "getting to the bad side of 23".

The actress has portrayed a high school student in Easy A and college student Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man.

Emma has joked her appearance won't allow for similar castings for too much longer.

"I don't know if it can happen anymore. I mean, I'm getting to the bad side of 23" she teased in an interview with British magazine Shortlist.

"I'm literally the oldest woman that's ever been in pictures."

Emma stars alongside her real-life beau Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man. There has been much buzz surrounding the comic hero reboot, with the castings of Emma and Andrew heavily scrutinised.

Andrew says his mother is the worst culprit when it comes to criticism.

"My mum is on at me all the time," he told the publication. "She's the biggest Spider-Man fan. She abuses me, she posts, she texts me anonymously, but I know it's from her."

Andrew says the attention from the movie franchise hasn't escalated just yet. The 28-year-old can still get away with his dirty habits for now.

"Nothing's that different," he says. "I mean, talk to me later and maybe things will change, but right now I'm fine. I'm laughing. I'm able to pick my nose in public without fear of it being immortalised."
