(Cover) - EN Movies - Emma Watson doesn't care if she is typecast following her Harry Potter success.

The actress has played Hermione Granger since the first movie was released in 2001, and with the final Harry Potter film on its way there are fears that the young star won't be able to leave the character behind. However, Emma, 21, insists she doesn't care if that is the case.

"I get asked all the time, Are you afraid that no one will ever see you as anyone else apart from Hermione?' And I just say, No! Why would I be?' If I am going to be associated with anything I am so thrilled that it would be her and it would be these films," she told UK morning television show Daybreak. "I wouldn't mind at all."

One of the reasons Emma loves being associated with the character is that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling made sure Hermione was more than just another female sidekick.

"Jo wrote this incredible female role and I think she is unprecedented because she is not just equal to the boys but in some respects you can see that she is a stronger fighter and a stronger witch," Emma explained further. "That just doesn't happen in blockbuster movies, women tend to be generally pretty sidekicks and Hermione isn't that at all."

Emma has two films coming up after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. First off is Marilyn Monroe biopic My Week with Marilyn. Emma will play a British girl who befriends the movie icon, who is played by Michelle Williams. Next is high-school drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower. (C) Cover Media
