(Cover) - EN Star Style - Emma Watson wasnt worried about whether her new hairstyle would suit her as her mother has the same look.

The actress shocked fans when she opted for a pixie crop in the summer, once shooting of the final Harry Potter movie had finished. Emma portrays Hermione Granger in the wizard franchise, and decided on the drastic restyle as she thought her long locks were too associated with the character.

She is still getting used to the look, but says she was never in any doubt it would be a success.

My mom has the same cut, so I kind of knew it was going to be OK, she said. We look quite similar, so I had a bit of confidence.

It did feel weird at first. I keep doing this [runs hand through hair]. I keep expecting to feel something.

The 20-year-old added the thing she likes most about her new look is how easy it is to care for. She used to be a slave to hairdryers and styling products, but now things are much easier.

That's my favourite part: getting out of the shower and shaking off like a dog," she laughed to USA Today. "It dries so quickly. I don't have to do anything to it." (C) Cover Media
