(Cover) - EN Movies - Ethan Hawke is to star in a secret horror movie.

The former Hollywood heartthrob has signed on for an untitled horror film, which will be produced by Jason Blum. Jason is on a spectacular box office run after producing the low budget mega hits Paranormal Activity and Insidious. Directed by Scott Derrickson, little is known about the movie, only that it will begin in September. Scott's other directorial credits include the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still and box office horror hit The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

It's the second time the normally serious dramatic actor has turned to the horror genre, following Ethan's star turn in 2009's Daybreakers.

He will be seen next in the remake of Total Recall and Richard Linklater's drama Boyhood. He will also star in The Woman in the Fifth and recently finished work on a TV adaptation of Moby Dick.
