(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Eva Longoria has "bittersweet" feelings about Desperate Housewives' final season.

Eva portrays Gabrielle on the hit ABC television programme. With the first episode of Desperate Housewives' final season set to debut on Sunday, Eva is experiencing mixed feelings about the show's departure from her life.

"[It's] bittersweet," Eva told E! Online Friday at Variety's Power of Women Luncheon in Beverly Hills.

"I'm sad that it's ending because it's been my family for so many years. And then I'm a little bit excited. You know, I get to move on to the next chapter in my life."

The reality that the show is really ending is affecting everyone on set. A subtle wistfulness befalls Longoria and co-stars Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman while they are filming scenes for the final episodes.

"Now every episode's like, 'Oh no! Is this going to be our last time we'll be here? Is this the last time we're going to shoot here?' "Eva explained. "We're all very aware that it's coming to an end."

Eva is hoping that writers will take the show out with a bang. The final scene should be emotionally gripping and should be ornamented with a hunky man.

"I think it'd be great if we all just drive off a cliff like Thelma and Louise. All four of us in the car," Eva laughed. "But Brad Pitt has to be there."
