(Cover) - EN Star Style - Eva Mendes has strict rules about the nail colours she wears.

The 37-year-old actress often experiments with different make-up looks, ranging from full-on glamorous to fresh and natural.

However, there is one area of cosmetics which she doesn't like to alter, as she thinks a lady's hands look best with girly nail colours.

"I like feminine colours for my nails and never ever veer away from pinky shades," she explained to the British edition of In Style.

The gorgeous star has been revealing some of her favourite beauty items, and admits she often gets creative and makes her own products. Although she's a big fan of Angel Perfuming Exfoliant Cream by Thierry Mugler, she also sometimes whips up a homemade exfoliator.

"The granules are really fine and do a great job of exfoliating," she said of the Mugler product. "I also make my own scrub at home with equal parts salt and natural yoghurt." (C) Cover Media
