(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Freida Pinto says watching her new movie left her feeling happy and dizzy.

The actress can next be seen playing a young Palestinian woman in Miral, which was directed by Julian Schnabel. Freida fell in love with the script as soon as she read it and knew she wanted to be involved in the film. She found the storyline very powerful and she is thrilled with how the movie turned out. Freida was particularly impressed with the camerawork, which is purposely shaky to intensify the emotion in the film.

It is kind of an intense, complicated subject. Its a human story and its about four women who want to express their freedom in their own way.

I remember watching the film for the first time and I just felt joy and a dizzying feeling. Its not just the performances that make this film special, its the camerawork and the location Israel, she explained on British television show Lorraine.

Its amazing because its a Jewish-American director telling the story of these four beautiful Palestinian women and their country. I think he has drawn a beautiful painting.

Freida who shot to fame in 2008 movie Slumdog Millionaire is currently promoting Miral in the UK. She was thrilled to fly her parents over from India this week for a screening of the film because it also meant they got to spend time together on her birthday.

The screening was on my birthday, so it was the most low-key but amazing birthday, 26-year-old Freida explained. It gave me the opportunity to go and do something for my parents because they have done things for you your entire life. I was saying to my mum and dad, This is the best birthday gift. Its because of you that Im here and its because of you that I am doing this film.

The film explores a very beautiful father/daughter relationship and it made my dad very proud.

Freida also spoke about her boyfriend Dev Patel, who she met on the set of Slumdog Millionaire. She revealed the romance is still going strong, before calling him adorable. (C) Cover Media
