(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Freida Pinto worries about her hair when she speaks to boyfriend Dev Patel on Skype as she thinks she looks "stupid" on a webcam.

The 26-year-old Indian actress has been dating British star Dev since 2009, after the pair met during the making of Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire.

Dev still resides in the UK, while Freida is constantly on the move with various work commitments, so conversations on Skype are fundamental. The stunning actress wishes she didn't have to rely on the software though, as she feels silly using a webcam.

"We use it a lot and we hate it as well! It's like a tease. I also feel it's this pressure: Oh my God, he's seeing me after two weeks, I hope my hair is okay,' she laughed to the British edition of In Style.

"It's just hideous. I think even the most beautiful person looks stupid on Skype."

Whenever she gets the chance, Freida loves spending time in the UK with Dev and his relatives. The actress is particularly fond of the actor's great grandmother.

"They're very sweet. Dev's got a great-grandma, she's so cute and so frail and so old and so adorable. I love to see her," she gushed.

Freida feels she and Dev have a particularly close bond as they were both propelled to international fame at the same time. The star feels Dev understands her rise to stardom better than her own family.

"I always say, I don't think there will be anybody who understands it better than him. Not even my family because they were not with me every step of the way, but he, literally, was. And I was with him," she smiled. (C) Cover Media
