(Cover) - EN Showbiz - George Clooney's girlfriend says she is a "firm believer" in marriage.

The Hollywood hunk has been dating Italian beauty Elisabetta Canalis for around two years and the pair are happier than ever together. Although they have no immediate plans to tie the knot, 32-year-old Elisabetta has revealed she would love to get married one day.

"I am very happy at the moment - thanks to my man and my fairytale is continuing. We are a couple that never gets bored," she said in an interview with Italian magazine Chi. "I am a firm believer in marriage, in the future I will be married, but for the time being I am happy as I am. I don't need anything to confirm how happy I am."

The actress-and-TV presenter also revealed she doesn't feel ready to start a family just yet. For now Elisabetta is happy to devote all her time to George and her blossoming career. However, she knows she will eventually want to have kids.

"My maternal instinct has not kicked in yet," she explained: "My mother says when it does; it will be like a lightning bolt."

The beauty has been dating George for some time now and is used to the speculation surrounding their relationship. The 50-year-old actor is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood and Elisabetta realises it is difficult to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, so she does her best to ignore those who criticise her.

"Whenever I see my picture in a magazine I know what is being written. They all say that I spend my time organising parties and that my boyfriend does not want to marry me and be with me anymore" she added. "My boyfriend has not given an interview on his private life since 1999 - everything that you read is just a rehash of stuff that has been written in the past." (C) Cover Media
