Govinda, the comic superstar of the 90's who was waiting for Salman Khan to start work on 'Partner 2', seems to have finally come to terms with reality and has signed a film. The actor has started accepting character roles and will soon be seen playing Ranbir Kapoor's father in a film.

Reportedly, Ranbir will be playing a 17 year old boy in his co-production venture with Anurag Basu's 'Jagga Jasoos'.

So after Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, Govinda is the third big addition to the cast of the film. The actor is quite upbeat about working on the film but has yet to officially sign the contract.

Prior to this, Govinda walked out of Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya's debut project 'Hero' where he had to play her dad. Govinda recently quipped that playing a father is any day better than playing grandfather to a hero which he might have to do pretty soon.
