In his career spanning over many decades, renowned Bollywood baddie Gulshan Grover has played many character roles so far. But the latest addition to his long glorious list of films is a film being made on the life of the legendary artist MF Husain.

The film is certainly not a biopic but it is truly inspired by his larger than life persona where Grover will don Hussain's avatar onscreen. Being made by adman Shashank Shekhar, the film is about the artist's view point towards society and life.

"I'm in an interesting phase of my career with filmmakers putting greater faith in me as an actor. When I was offered the role, inspired by the legendary artist and woven in a touching story, I loved it and took it up," said Gulshan on signing the film.

In the film, Gulshan like the real life MF Husain will sport long locks and a stubble, walking bare foot like the way artist did throughout his life. He hasn't only practiced his lifestyle, but also his art for which he was famous worldwide.

"I took lessons from my painter friends to get some nuances right for authenticity in my performance," said Gulshan who has met Husain saab, and plans to inculcate lessons from that experience in the film as well.
