(Cover) - EN Movies - Halle Berry, Ben Whishaw and Hugo Weaving will all appear in Cloud Atlas.

The movie is an adaptation of David Mitchells novel and is being directed and written by Tom Tykwer and Andy and Lana Wachowski.

It was announced Ben and Hugo have won major parts in the picture at the Cannes International Film Festival yesterday, as buyers began showing interest in the release.

Halle has long been linked to the film and its now also been confirmed she will have a role.

At the moment the specifics of all three stars parts remain unclear, although its thought they will each be portraying several different characters.

It is already known that Tom Hanks will be appearing, with shooting set to commence towards the end of the year.

The book which inspired the movie was released in 2004 and is known for being long and intricate. It includes six stories which overlap slightly, and among the characters are a British musician who is yet to make money in the 30s, an American journalist working in the 70s, a clone who is fighting against society in the future and someone who is living after the apocalypse.
