Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala turns a year older as she celebrates her birthday today August 16, 2015.

Manisha made her film debut with the Nepali film 'Pheri Betaula' in 1989 but it was her debut in the Hindi film industry with 'Saudagar' which brought her in the spotlight, as the film turned out to be successful at the box office and she became a sought after actress in bollywood.

Besides Hindi, Manisha has also worked in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam language films. She is very well known for her films 'Saudagar', 'Criminal', '1942 A Love Story' and 'Agni Sakshi' which brought her much success and fame in the industry.

In 2012, a disastrous news broke out that the budding actress was suffering from ovarian cancer. But the actress managed to fight back against the dreadful disease and emerge trimphant as she underwent a surgery and the surgery was successful.
