Self-proclaimed troublemaker, the actor with a soft mellow voice, Owen Wilson turns 42 today! The American actor and writer was born in Dallas, Texas, USA on 18th November, 1968 to photographer Laura Cunningham and advertising executive Andrew Wilson. Wilson attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
Wilson's made his debut in The Cable Guy, followed by minor appearance in actions films like Anaconda, Armageddon and The Haunting. Wilson got his big break with the 2000 comedy action hit Shanghai Noon, starring opposite Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan. His fame continued to rise after starring alongside Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell in the 2001 film Zoolander.
Gene Hackman noticed Wilson's performance in Shanghai Noon and recommended him to co-star in the 2001 action film Behind Enemy Lines. And there was no looking back. Few of his noted films are The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), Shanghai Knights (2003), The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004), Starsky & Hutch (2004), Wedding Crashers (2004), Cars (2006), Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009), Cars 2 (2011), Midnight in Paris (2011) and The Big Year (2011).
The 2002 release of the album C'mon C'mon by former girlfriend Sheryl Crow features the song Safe and Sound which is dedicated to Wilson in the liner notes and is said to be an autobiographical account of Wilson's and Crow's relationship. Currenlty Wilson was dating Jude Duel till early this year, who gave birth to their son, Robert Ford Wilson, in January.
Wilson never wanted to be an actor, but was passionate about writer. Well, thanks to Wes Anderson, we have him on the screen, an eye candy and a heart throb to many!
