January 3, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): South Indian actress Haripriya, who started her career with the Kannada film Nande, says that she is not getting Kannada film offers these days but she is getting better scripts from Telugu and Tamil film industry. However, her Kannada debut film is yet to release in this January and she has not released even a single Kannada film in the last one-and-a-half-years.
It seems that the actress has become favorite choice in Tollywood and Kollywood these days. Her Tamil film Muran opposite Cheran will be releasing early this year. She plays a role of fashion designer in this movie, which is her third consecutive Tamil project. Her Telugu debut film Takita Takita was a big hit and ran for 60 days
in theaters. Haripriya is now shooting with a newcomer for her next project Pilla Zamindar.
Haripriya is quite focused and is determined to sign films only under good banners. For this, the actress does not mind sitting idle at home. She says that Sandalwood is not offering her the kind of project she is getting from Tollywood and Kollywood. She will never sign a film blindly only to keep her busy. The actress says that every actor has a peak in his or her career and then has a decline but she wants to balance things. So she is being selective in signing Kannada projects.
Even when she is doing films, Haripriya keeps herself busy learning new things. Now, she is learning playing violin and horse-riding. She wants to keep herself skilled in many areas as it comes in use while doing films and in real life too.
We hope her Kannada debut Nande gives her the taste of a hit in this New Year!
