January 3, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): Tamil director and cinematographer K. V. Anand believes in making films which are inspired from real life. In a statement to the media, K V Anand stresses on the fact that each and every film that he has made or wants to make should have an element of believability in them and it is keeping in mind this fact that K V Anand has progressed towards the making of his new years first release Ko.
It is to be remembered that K. V. Anand had been a professional photojournalist before he switched professions to be a film director. And his protagonist in Ko is also armed with a camera. The similarity though does not end there, K. V. Anand has also incorporated a scene in Ko where the leading mans camera is smashed by a furious gathering, an incident which occurred in the filmmakers life when he was covering a mob in Thirupathur.
Ko has been shot in grim locales in Tanzania, a place which suits the mood of the incidents portrayed in his upcoming action film. In fact K. V. Anand has made it a point to take his music composer Harris Jayaraj to the locations to give him a feel of the place, so that he may be able to score the tracks of Ko keeping the surroundings in mind. Not only does K. V. Anand make films rooted in reality, he also believes in perfection!
