Few days back, the official announcements about Vikram's next film 'Karikalan' was made. The film is produced by Silver Line Film Factory and is directed by graphic artist Kannan, who has worked on CG works for several big budget movies including that of Shankar. It was mentioned that Bollywood actress Zarine Khan and Deeksha Seth have been signed opposite Vikram in female lead role and Harris Jayaraj will be scoring music. But in contrast, Harris Jayaraj has tweeted saying that he in no way is associated with this project. It is worth mentioning that both Vikram and Harris Jayaraj together have given a fabulous blockbuster 'Anniyan'.  Harris Jayaraj is busy now working on his next set of most promising albums – 'Nanban' and 'Ezham Arivu'.
