Hugh Jackman reveals jet lag cure

28th April 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Hugh Jackman has found a great cure for jetlag.

The Australian actor was injured at the end of last year while performing a stunt during the taping of an Oprah Winfrey show at the Sydney Opera House.

Live television showed the star sliding down a cable from the top of the Sydney Opera House towards a giant outdoor stage, but he failed to stop, crashing into the stage's light rigging.

The Wolverine star, who says he has been left scarred by the facial injury, has revealed the nerve-shattering stunt was great for curing his jetlag.

"There's still a tiny scar under my eye," he is quoted as saying. "Luckily I had a great surgeon. I only had to have two stitches in so I was lucky. But smacking into a wall at 30mph is a great cure for jetlag. I can highly recommend it!"

The 42-year-old movie hunk was relieved to avoid the stunt after his injury. He says that he was replaced by a budding intern who was anxious about suffering the same fate.

In the end it was the intern who did it. This guy was 23 and was worried about doing it but he was great, he added. (C) Cover Media
