Disappointed with the offered roles in Bollywood, Irrfan Khan turned to Hollywood when he was flooded with roles in English films in the last few years. He has done films like 'Slumdog Millionaire’, 'The Amazing Spider-Man' and 'Life of Pi' in the recent past and before these, he has played pivotal roles in many other Hollywood films too.

Looking at his inclination towards English movies, it was assumed that Irrfan might shift base abroad. But he shunned all these rumors at one go as he assured everyone that he will not leave India nor Bollywood.

"I cannot live anywhere else in the world except India. I will stay here only. By doing films internationally I am just expanding myself as an actor. Hollywood gives ample of opportunities to experiment. Bollywood has offered me opportunities too but the choices have been limited," said Irrfan.

Recently, he was bestowed with the National Award for his performance in 'Paan Singh Tomar'. He is also praised for his performance in his last release 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns'.
