Producer Aanand Mahendroo is all set to showcase the award winning actor, Irrfan Khan in a never before seen role. Irrfan will play a filmmaker, who goes through a lot of ups and downs to prove his talent in the film.

Aanand says, "It will be made on a large canvas with an ensemble cast of almost 50 characters and will have a diaspora appeal."

Aanand, who recently produced 'Rang Rasiya' says, "Nobody was backing the project, but I had full faith in Ketan.Randeep has lived the character. Raja Ravi Varma was a genius and I felt his story needed to be told."

Irrfan is currently shooting for Shoojit Sircar's 'Piku' starring Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.
