Is Bellamkonda Suresh On The Verge Of Remaking Kaavalan?

20th January 2011

January 20, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): Bellamkonda Suresh is one of the foremost producers of the Telugu film industry. As per some reports in the South Indian entertainment media, Suresh has acquired the remake rights of the most recent Tamil blockbuster, Kaavalan, which has, as its central characters, Vijay and Asin. The Tamil film fraternity is commonly labeled as Kollywood. More particulars about the Telugu remake are likely in the near future.

Markedly, Kaavalan is also a remake of the Malayalam movie titled Bodyguard, which consisted of Dileep and Nayantara as the male and female protagonist respectively. Both Bodyguard and Kaavalan were directed by the filmmaker, Siddique. The Malayalam and Tamil versions have attained sizable success at the box office.

Suresh has gained famousness and recognition for remaking the successful films of other Indian languages in Telugu via his Sai Ganesh Productions. Suresh has not yet resolved the issue of the actors and actresses in the Telugu remake but what is unequivocal is that the biggest superstars of the Telugu film world would be thrilled to act in this film as it is being produced by Suresh, who is a commanding Telugu film producer. Also, it is indistinct at the moment whether Siddique will be the director of the Telugu version as well.

There have been reports in the South Indian entertainment circuit that Bodyguard is going to be remade in Hindi, which will have Salman Khan as the principal character and Siddique at the position of director.

Vijay has demonstrated himself as a competent actor in Kollywood with his performances in commercially triumphant films such as Pokkiri, Kushi, etc. Asin is a genuinely Indian actress as she has acted in Indian films of dissimilar languages such as Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi. Asin had debuted in the Hindi film industry with Ghajini, which was a fairly successful movie that had the legendary Aamir Khan as the male protagonist.
