Director Suresh Krishna is not an unfamiliar name in Kollywood. After all, he is the mastermind behind the yesteryear blockbusters like Badsha, Annamalai and Veera. 

Well the news is, the director is now ready to venture himself into small screen. The filmmaker is currently wielding the megaphone for a mega serial title 'Aaha'. Obviously, the title has been inspired by a feel-good romantic movie directed by Suresh Krishna in the late 1990s.

'But the serial is not a remake of Aaha. It is based on a fresh story. It will track the mindeset of today's youth in hilarious manner. The soap will be loaded with fun, romance and sentiments,' say sources close to the development.

'The serial is being shot on a grand budget and will be no inferior to a movie,' sources add.

To be aired on Vijay TV from Monday to Friday starting May 7, Aaha has music by Karthik Raja (elder son of maestro Ilayaraaja) and lyrics by Pa. Vijay.
