(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jack Black says technology made the production of his new film easier.
The American actor plays giant Lemuel Gulliver in a new big screen adaptation of Jonathan Swifts classic tale Gullivers Travels. Lemuel gets stranded on an island inhabited by little people, a plot which could have made filming difficult.
But Jack revealed, thanks of the emergence of high-tech equipment, the crew did not need to film scenes twice then go back and add the dialogue together. He could respond to whatever his co-stars were saying so the movie is not disjointed.
Because of our new technology developed for this film... we were able to act simultaneously and interact, Jack told Cover Media. We couldnt look at each other of course because they are looking at the sky, Im looking down at a speck on the ground, but we could hear each other live in real time and have real interactions and you can tell - you can tell it in improvisational moments.
Scottish comic star Billy Connolly plays King Theodore in the film and he joked that these spontaneous moments are given away when he gets distracted. You can tell because I looked the wrong way all the time! the 68-year-old laughed. But Jack went on to cheekily suggest that his co-star had his gaze fixed somewhere a bit more intimate. Youre the King you can look at my crotch! Jack laughed. (C) Cover Media
