(Cover) - EN Showbiz - James Franco attracted a record number of people when he shot his appearance on Inside the Actors Studio.
The successful Hollywood star recorded an interview on the talk show, which quizzes top movie stars in front of an audience including film students and fans.
The iconic television programme has featured a series of famous faces over the years, although more people than ever were in the queue to see James interview.
Sources told website TMZ tickets to see James on the show where in such demand that staff has to reject a record number of people.
Apparently hundreds of industry experts were desperate to see James, meaning more than 250 people ended up being declined entry.
There was so much screaming and adulation for James that the shows host James Lipton reportedly stopped the interview and said: "17 years filming this show and I've never heard a sound like that before.
After recording the in-depth interview which airs next month, James was reportedly happy to spend an extra hour-and-a-half chatting to his admirers. Insiders say the last guest to have been so engaging with fans was Hollywood icon Paul Newman.
