Jason Segel recalls cinema upset

15th December 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jason Segel once walked out of a cinema after a member of the audience spoiled the plotline.

The 30-year-old American actor is best known for his roles in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Knocked Up, as well as appearing in hit US show How I Met Your Mother.

Jason is a real movie buff and adores visiting the cinema, although he has recalled one less enjoyable trip to the pictures.

The star went to watch Peter Weirs critically acclaimed 1989 film Dead Poets Society, but was devastated when the person sitting behind him revealed an integral part of the plot.

The only time Ive ever walked out on a film was Dead Poets Society, and not for the reason you think, he told Empire magazine.

There was a really old couple behind me, and right when Robert Sean Leonard appears, the old lady turned to the old man and said, Thats the one who kills himself.

I was so frustrated that I just stood up and walked out of the theatre.

Jason decided not to make a scene as he has a great deal of respect for the older generation. The sensitive star believes it was the old ladys prerogative to ruin the film for him.

I wasnt going to yell at an old couple. Theyve probably worked hard enough to be able to ruin a movie for somebody, he added. (C) Cover Media
