Jay-Z auctions tickets for charity

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jay-Z is auctioning two nights with himself for charity, with the current bid standing at $34,000.

The American rapper is keen to raise money for the Stephen Gaynor School, which helps children with learning difficulties receive adequate schooling.

The star is giving fans the chance to attend two basketball games with him. The New York Knicks will battle it out against the New Jersey Nets on March 30 at the iconic Madison Square Garden venue in New York. On April 8, they will play a rematch at the Prudential Center in Newark.

The winning bidder will get the chance to take a friend to sit alongside Jay-Z courtside for the duration of both matches. The lot has proved very popular, and despite being valued at $20,000 bidding has already reached $34,000. The auction is being held online at charitybuzz.com, with bidding closing on March 25.

The Stephen Gaynor School has the backing of many famous faces. On March 16 the educational facility is holding a special gala which is being hosted by actor Mark Consuelos and American TV host Kelly Ripa, with musician Jordan Sparks performing. (C) Cover Media
