She was once a popular actress. And later she became a busy politician. Now Jayapradha is back to don the greasepaint and she is on cloud nine over the feedback she has been receiving for her recent Malayalam movie, Pranayam.

The Member of Parliament says, "I have been getting accolades from all possible corners for my performance. But more than everything, I would like to extend my wishes to the whole hearted support the Malayali audience has conferred on me, which is truly encouraging."

Ask her whether she would continue acting or go back to politics, she says, "Both cinema and politics are like my two eyes. They are very very important to me. I would stand in front of the camera as and when I get meaningful and challenging roles. It all depends.'

A popular heroine in the 1980s, Jayaprada had acted opposite almost all top heroes of south Indian cinema. She is equally successful in politics too. Initially her focus was on regional politics. However, she is now concentrating on national level.
