Jennifer Aniston: Cosmetic surgery is not for me

15th December 2011

Jennifer Aniston thinks cosmetic injections are a "slippery slope."

The 42-year-old actress who was awarded the title of Sexiest Woman of All Time in Men's Health magazine this month prefers aging gracefully to using invasive wrinkle reducing remedies.

Through trial and error, Jennifer discovered long ago that treatments such as Botox injections were not for her.

"People think that I do a lot of injections, but I don't," Jennifer told InStyle magazine. "I'm not saying that I haven't tried it but I see how it's a slippery slope. All that cosmetic stuff looks ridiculous on me."

The California native has spent many years basking in the sunshine.

Jennifer prefers to fight the aging process and protect her skin from potential sun damage by utilising simple methods.

"I've started getting those little sun spots. Things are beginning to pop out," she explained. "Even the texture [of my skin] is changing. So I've recently started zapping the spots and getting spray tans whenever I can. And I've graduated to using SPF 60 sunblock when I'm on the beach."

Overall Jennifer is happy with the way she looks and feels at the moment.

"I quit smoking a few months ago and I put on a couple of pounds," Jennifer shared. "Normally I'd be like, Oh my god, I gained weight! Everyone is going to think I'm pregnant!' Now, I just don't care."
