(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have split.

The couple married in 2004 and have three-year-old twins Max and Emme together. They have given no reason for ending their marriage, only confirming they are no longer together in a statement.

"We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters," they said. "It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."

The couple were thought to have a happy marriage, although Marc was not with Jennifer when she met Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in California over the weekend.

Jennifer, 41, and Marc, 42, first dated in the 90s. They went they separate ways, with Jennifer having a number of night profile relationships, including romances with P. Diddy and Ben Affleck.

The actress-and-signer was married twice before tying the knot with Marc. She wed waiter Ojani Noa in 1997 and dancer Chris Judd in 2001. Marc has also been married before, and has two kids with ex-wife Dayanara Torres. (C) Cover Media
