(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jesse Metcalfe would "trade all the perks" of fame for "anonymity".

The actor is best known for his roles in Desperate Housewives and more recently the new season of hit TV show Dallas.

Jesse knows he has to take the rough with the smooth when it comes to fame.

"If I could do what I love to do, which is act, and somehow retain my anonymity, I would trade all the perks," he told the UK edition of OK! magazine.

"It can be a bit invasive. But since I can't do that, I can tell you that the perks are amazing."

Jesse admits that the thought of giving it all up has crossed his mind "once or twice". However, the hunk has ultimately decided against it.

"If I chose to quit at this point, I'd be the actor on that VH1 show Where Are They Now?. They'd still be interested and still be following me, but they'd probably be saying how my career is a failure," he quipped. (C) Cover Media
