Jessica Simpson's baby girl Maxwell is apparently the spitting image of her mother.

The fashion entrepreneur gave birth to the 9lbs 13oz bundle of joy last week.

And Life & Style reports that Maxwell looks more like Jessica than her father Eric Johnson.

"She's so cute!" the insider who has seen the baby revealed. "And Maxwell looks a lot like her mom; same cheeks and nose! Her hair's brown, but it's getting blonder every day."

Jessica is apparently a natural at motherhood and is already a pro at changing diapers.

"She was born for this role," the friend added. "Jessica knows what she's doing."

Jessica called the birth of her first child the "greatest experience" of her life.

The star is said to be working on new maternity and baby ranges to add to her fashion empire.

It has been reported she will receive about $700,000 for the first baby pictures of Maxwell. She is also believed to have signed up for a multi-million dollar Weight Watchers campaign to track her post-pregnancy weight loss.
