(Cover) - EN Star Style - Jessie J insists she is "all about hygiene" when it comes to her beauty regime.

The British singer is known for her glossy tresses and quirky style and often experiments with different make-up looks. The 23-year-old star has revealed she is extremely conscious of personal hygiene and says that people often over-look the basics of grooming.

"I'm all about hygiene so I also don't like dirty nails," she told Shout magazine. "Just have a pedicure! I see that a lot when I'm in New York guys with pedicures. You don't really get that in the UK. I also think it should be illegal not to floss."

Jessie says she isn't a fan of the fake tan craze. The songstress, who often sports a pale and interesting look, says girls get it all wrong when it comes to looking naturally sunkissed.

"I really hate fake tan when you have that line around your chin!" she said. "When you're wearing bronzer, you should go one shade lighter with your foundation so that when you put your bronzer on it's the right shade. You see all these girls going around with orange faces that don't match up to their bodies."

Jessie doesn't like eyebrows that have been "overplucked". The star, who favours more natural brows, also says that there isn't an excuse for ladies having "greasy" manes.

"I do hate when people overpluck their eyebrows and you end up with brows that look like motorbike handles. I really like big eyebrows I don't do anything to mine at all. I also don't like greasy hair what's wrong with a bit of dry shampoo?" she quipped. (C) Cover Media
