28th July 2011

Debutant director Gokul is ready with his maiden venture 'Rowthiram', with Jiiva and Shriya Saran playing the lead roles. The film produced by R B Choudary's Super Good banner will hit the screens soon.

"Jiiva is a great performer and he is a director's actor. He was ready to go to any extent to get his act right. I am very happy to make my debut with Super Good Films that too with Jiiva in the lead role," says Gokul.

Says Jiiva, who is on a high after the success of 'Ko', "The important reason behind many atrocities in the society, is lack of anger among public. People become mute spectators for violent incidents. The film tries to find a solution to it."

Prakashraj and Jayaprakash are playing pivotal roles in 'Rowthiram'. Popular Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya plays an important role in the movie. Close on 'Rowthiram's release, Jiiva will have 'Vandhan Vendran' hitting the screens followed by 'Nanban' directed by Shankar, which is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster 'Three Idiots'. After that, Jiiva has been committed to do films with ace directors Mysskin, S P Jananathan and Gautham Vasudev Menon later this year. Great going for Jiiva, we must say.
