The singer is renowned for his colourful love life, having dated Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston. He is known for being outspoken about his romances too, famously describing Jessica as "sexual napalm".

John has been out of the limelight recently, but he was seen enjoying an evening out with a mystery woman and another couple in Brooklyn, New York, over the weekend.

The group were spotted having a leisurely meal at Pub One on Sunday night, were they feasted on burgers washed down with beer and margaritas.

The group looked relaxed and happy and spent time laughing and joking together. John was dressed "casually in a plaid parka" according to New York Post, and seemed thrilled with the company.

News of John's double date comes shortly after it was claimed he is secretly dating Rene Zellweger, who split from Bradley Cooper earlier this year. The pair were said to have enjoyed night out in both New York and Los Angeles, although both were keen to keep the burgeoning romance hush hush.
