Rating: 3/5

Cracker of a kind

Allu Arjun is always like a live wire. If his energy is coupled with a good script, the end product is a film like 'Julayi', which entertains the audience from scene one till the end.

There is hardly any lag in the movie, and one has to appreciate director Trivikram Srinivas for that. With his interesting screenplay and innovative dialogues, the filmmaker has presented one of the best movies of Allu Arjun.

However, the major let down to the movie is Ileana D'cruz. What happened to the beautiful actress, we wonder. She has to focus on her health, we suggest, if she really wants to stay in the hearts of the audience for some more time.

The story revolves around Ravi (Allu Arjun), who is a carefree youth. Hailing from a middle class family, he wants to become rich.

One day, he helps the police in catching a gang of bank robbers, led by Biitu (Sonu Sood). Biitu's brother (Shafi) is killed in the encounter.

Meanwhile, Ravi heads to Hyderabad on the advice of the police. In the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, he meets Madhu (Ileana) and falls for her. In the meantime, it is time for Biitu to take revenge on Ravi.

Allu Arjun is the highlight of the movie. It is hard for anyone to imagine doing this role, as the 'Stylish Star' simply rocks with his performance. His chemistry with Ileana too is worth noticing. The lady too does a decent job but due to ill health has not been looking in full form. Sonu Sood is menacing and the best on-screen villain we have currently seen. He gets life in the negative shades like how! Rajendra Prasad, Shafi and others do their part well too.

Devi Sri Prasad has come out with racy songs and racier background score. Cinematography by Chota K. Naidu and Shyam K. Naidu is a great asset to the movie. Other technical departments too add value to the entire film.

On the whole, Trivikram Srinivas has presented a clear winner in the box office, with all the ingredients the audience would expect. 'Julayi' is here to stay.
