Julianne Hough admits that she was initially "reluctant" to date her current boyfriend Ryan Seacrest.

The 24-year-old professional dancer and actress met Ryan, 37, in 2007. The set of his show American Idol was down the hall from Julianne's programme Dancing with the Stars.

Julianne felt uneasy when they began seeing each other in 2010.

"I was reluctant because he is such an influential guy, and what if it didn't work out?" she told Life & Style magazine.

"Our first date, I was so nervous that I just sat there and interviewed him with questions like, 'Are you loyal?' and 'Are you close to your family?' "

The pair have enjoyed two years together and Julianne reveals that the love they have for one another is still going strong.

"When we do see each other, we are super excited and do these cute and romantic things," she gushed.

"I'm 20 lbs. heavier than I was when we started dating. And now we always have great wine, and I can tell the difference. So I told him, 'You ruined my life because I can't go to a friend's house and drink cheap wine anymore.' "
