The 50-year-old American actress is celebrated for her alabaster skin and flame-red tresses, and can carry off a variety of different looks. However, in her opinion she just doesnt have the right body shape to wear the figure-hugging attire of the 50s era.

The Hollywood beauty says she prefers to wear 70s fashion as it suits her better.

I dont like 50s clothes. I wear them in movies, or they appear on the runway, ladylike waists and all that. Im like, No! I hate them on me, because I have no waist. I go straight up and down, she told In Style. So in my lifetime, Id have to say the 70s Our generation. Although I dont want to be that person whos dragging out the 70s all the time.

Julianne who is famed for her wholesome good looks and natural beauty has revealed a photo she looked at years ago has served as inspiration for her fashion choices throughout her life. The actress says she admired the models natural look, and that has stayed with her throughout her career.

I remember a Life magazine photo of a girl with long hair, in jeans, no make-up, hair very loose and I thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world. Very 70s. That has stayed with me my entire life, she added. (C) Cover Media
