Julianne Moore: I'm not vain

3rd March 2012

Julianne Moore wants her children to focus on "their own lives."

The Academy Award-nominated actress has son Caleb, 14, and nine-year-old daughter Liv Helen with her director husband Bart Freundlich.

Julianne desires for her kids to live a full life outside of Hollywood glitz and glamour.

"I don't want my daughter or her friends to be interested in Jessica Simpson; I want them to be interested in what's happening in their own lives," Julianne said in the March issue of American publication More.

Julianne is not big on vanity. The stunning star won't get a facelift anytime soon.

"I feel that with a few exceptions, people always look like they've had surgery; they don't look any younger," Julianne declared. "I'm 51, and no matter what I do to my face, I'm still going to be 51."

Julianne portrays ex Alaskan governor and former American vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in her upcoming HBO film Game Change.

The actress felt like she had absolutely nothing in common with the conservative politician when she first took on the role.

"I was flabbergasted. I felt the role was as far away from me as I could possibly go," Julianne recalled. "Once I said yes, I went into a full-fledged panic, because I was like, I don't know where to start."

Game Change will air on HBO in America on March 10.
