2nd November 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Justin Bieber will be honoured with the first ever MTV Voices award at the 2011 MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) this weekend.

The Canadian superstar will receive the accolade on Saturday at the prestigious awards ceremony.

The prize recognises the star's launch of the Believe Charity Drive, which directly benefits a range of 20 charities that are making a difference around the globe.

Justin is also donating a portion of the proceeds made from every Under The Mistletoe album purchased by his fans.

In addition to his work with the project, Justin has also been involved with another couple of charities; Make-A-Wish-Foundation and Pencils of Promises.

According to MTV, each year it "will also recognise a local organisation from the show's host city whose mission reflects the spirit of MTV Voices".

This year's awards ceremony is to be held at Belfast's Odyssey Arena. The recipient of the award will be the Northern Ireland Youth Forum (NIYF).

The organisation enables young people to actively shape and influence what goes on around them, including social issues and political decisions.

Justin will also be performing at the event.

The EMAs are hosted by his girlfriend Selena Gomez.

It will air on MTV from 9pm GMT on November 6. (C) Cover Media
