The 16-year-old Canadian pop star became an overnight success in 2009 when he catapulted to international fame with his debut single One Time, and he has gone on to become one of the worlds most in-demand teenagers.

Justin cannot believe how much his life has changed, and insists he will always remain thankful for fame and fortune, notably because he didnt grow up surrounded by wealth.

And really when I was growing up I didnt have lots of money or anything like that, so everything that is coming to me, I see it as a blessing, he enthused.

The talented singer has fond memories of his childhood, which he admits was rather normal. The star has a great amount of respect for his mother Pattie, and gets along well with his father Jeremy.

My background is very simple. My parents broke up when I was little. I still have a great relationship with me father and I get to see him regularly. Then my mother and I moved to Atlanta, he told the British edition of OK! magazine. (C) Cover Media
