(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Justin Bieber has announced he will donate proceeds from his new album to charity.

The teenage singing sensation is set to release his new acoustic LP, My World Acoustic, in the US today with funds collected from the album donated to childrens hospitals in America.

The 16-year-old, who burst onto the music scene in 2009, has teamed up with charity Childrens Miracle Network in order to launch the fundraising campaign.

Speaking on Twitter, Justin explained it was the perfect time for him to give something back to the public.

"I am in the position to give back thanks to my fans and God. I wrote (track) Pray thinking I wanted to help others and I feel like I have a responsibility to do so.

"What is the point of doing all this if you cant make a difference in others lives? This album is a gift to my fans and the money raised from it allows us all to help out," he said. (C) Cover Media
