(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Justin Timberlake is set to become a big part of social networking site MySpace after it was sold by News Corporation.
The star appeared in the acclaimed movie Social Network about the Facebook story and played Sean Parker who was credited with being part of Facebook's early success.
And in art imitating life, Justin has now joined the team to help with the proposed reincarnation of MySpace after its decline over the past few years.
The website has been overtaken in popularity by Facebook and Twitter but the actor-and-singer wants to help turn it around with more of a focus on music.
"There's a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favourite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect," Justin told The Hollywood Reporter.
"MySpace has the potential to be that place. Art is inspired by people and vice versa, so there's a natural social component to entertainment. I'm excited to help revitalise MySpace by using its social media platform to bring artists and fans together in one community."
Justin is currently appearing in new comedy Bad Teacher, co-starring with his ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz. (C) Cover Media
